Premise Phone Systems FAQs

A premise-based phone system is physically installed in the building, as opposed to being hosted through a cloud service. It can be connected either through physical wires or IP technology. It is managed completely by your business. With PBX (private branch exchange) you’ll have unique extensions for different staff members or departments.

A premise-based phone system’s upfront costs will depend on how many employee desk phones you have and other factors. You will also have to factor in the costs of maintenance. Contact the Telco Data team for a custom quote.

With premise-based phone systems, the server and all of the necessary equipment to make and receive calls are located on site. It involves physical wiring that connect each desk phone to your office’s data center. You will need a dial tone provider to establish a connection, but all the hardware is located on-premises and is fully manageable by your business.

We’ve been working with Telco-Data for over 10 years. They have moved our office equipment 4 times, run new phone and computer lines as needed, provided new phone equipment as needed, and have been a major assistance to all of our tele-communication needs. They have been loyal and flawless each and every time. I recommend them to anyone needing new equipment or relocating.

I had a very unsatisfactory experience with other business phone solution providers. I was referred to Telco Data by a colleague. After working with them for several months and buying and having them install a new digital phone system, I never looked back and can’t express how pleased I am with their services. They have been extremely punctual, helpful, and professional.

Telco-Data provided us with a quick and detailed quote, then came out and completed the job as per the quote without any extra charges. We had a great experience in working with them and highly recommend them.
